Private swim medical with Dr Mig Arbide. Price is £80, paid on completion of the medical by cash or bank transfer.

What if I need an ECG?

We can carry out an ECG for specific swims that require it such as IISA or North Channel, if you wish an extra level of safety or if we advise you that it’s in your interest , for example if we find that you have an irregular heart rhythm or have an estimated cardiovascular risk of greater than 25% over 10 years.

The cost is £40 which is very good value. If you know that you require one, do let us know in advance to allow for extra time.

What to bring to the medical?

  • The form(s)(with personal details and medical questionnaire completed)

  • Blood pressure readings x3 from home if possible

  • Height and weight

  • Urine sample in a dishwasher clean jar
